Seriously, if God supposedly controls everything and is so involved in our lives, why the fuck does this happen in his church? I will never respect a religious view, but I will respect a deist who believes god created the universe and is no longer involved in any way to our existence.

I might have an easier time agreeing with you if the outfit was optional for women, unfortunately this is not the case and this infringes on their rights as human beings and their perspective of life. It sure is easy to say it’s their choice to wear it when you ignore the fact that they’ve been indoctrinated since birth to believe that wearing this is the best and only option they have for a good life. Teach women to wear whatever they think or feel is appropriate, whatever they think will make them happy or satisfied with the way they look under their own conditions and terms, give them options, and then and only then will i respect their wearing of a burqa.
And on another note, if you can sit there and honestly tell me that you think women are treated as complete 100% equals throughout the middle east or simply in the islamic culture, then you’re just as much an ethnocentric idiot as you claimed me to be. To be fair though, I don’t think any religion treats women as equals.

And to anyone who counters with “there are more good priests than pedophile priests, it was only a few. Now every priest is a pedophile because some were?” No, they aren’t. But your catholic church organization is a fucked up, corrupt, morally bankrupt institution for trying and still trying to this day to cover up any instance like this, keeping these disgusting people employed, and firing and slandering any priests who came out against their actions and decisions to try and hide it.

I enjoy a good laugh over religion but this does not represent my personal belief/lack of belief in its entirety. My true religious aspects cannot be summarized in a tumblr account. If you take offense to this, good, it's about time you stopped being praised for believing in the adult version of Santa Claus.
